This social worker role at Catholic Charities, Diocese of Arlington, supports the Pregnancy and Adoption Support (PAS) ministry in Fairfax, Virginia. The position focuses on empowering women and families through counseling and adoption services, and advocating for child welfare.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct intake, assessment, and options counseling for expectant parents
• Provide support and case management for adoption planning and placement
• Complete adoption home studies and post-adoption supervision
• Educate families and community partners on adoption issues and agency services
• Collaborate with team members and community partners
• Participate in occasional evening/weekend work and on-call rotation

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work or related field, or bachelor’s degree plus 3 years' experience
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
• Experience in child welfare beneficial
