Advance your career as a Wound Care / Treatment Nurse (RN) in a long-term care environment. You will play a crucial part in providing focused skin care and treatment under the guidance of nursing leadership, prioritizing wound therapy and prevention for facility residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and provide direct wound care and skin assessment
- Identify, plan, implement, and evaluate skin care strategies
- Treat and manage specific skin disorders
- Coordinate weekly skin rounds and assess needs
- Collaborate with the care planning team for holistic approaches
- Provide education to residents and caregivers on skin care and prevention
- Monitor supplies for prevention and treatment
- Support and train new nursing staff in wound care procedures
- Modify treatment regimens as necessary following medical protocols
Qualifications
- Active RN license required
- Experience in long-term care or geriatrics preferred
- Wound care certification preferred (training offered)
