Join a dedicated healthcare team providing essential treatment and wound care to residents at a long-term care facility in York, AL. Under the guidance of nursing leadership and with oversight from medical professionals, this role focuses on skin care management and recovery support for geriatric residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver wound care and treatment for residents as directed by physicians and facility protocols
- Assess skin conditions, plan and implement treatments, and monitor progress
- Coordinate weekly skin rounds and maintain accurate documentation
- Collaborate with care teams to develop and adjust resident care plans
- Instruct and supervise new nursing personnel in wound care procedures
- Track supply usage and assist in adapting treatments to resident needs
Qualifications
- Current RN license in the state
- Experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing preferred
- Wound care certification preferred (facility may provide training/certification)
