Assist in providing nutritious meals and a positive dining experience for students and staff as a Nutrition Assistant at Hosmer Elementary School in Watertown, MA. This part-time role focuses on food preparation, serving, and ensuring that meals meet regulated standards for safety and nutrition.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals following standardized recipes and menu specifications
• Operate kitchen equipment and maintain clean, sanitary work environments
• Ensure meals are presented attractively and served at appropriate temperatures
• Collect payments during meal service, maintain sales records and cash reconciliation
• Follow safe food handling and sanitation practices
• Participate in relevant training and step in as kitchen manager when needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• ServSafe certification preferred
• Prior experience in quantity food production helpful
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, perform physically demanding work
