About the Role
Join a dynamic 12-bed inpatient and 2-bed outpatient Medical Oncology ICU, the only one of its kind in North Carolina. Nurses collaborate with board-certified intensivists, oncologists, and pharmacists to deliver advanced, compassionate care for adults with cancer and blood disorders. The environment is high-acuity and patient-centered, with custom amenities for families and seamless teamwork across oncology services.
Responsibilities
- Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process
- Deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures
- Use evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, and compassionate communication
- Lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and best patient experience
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification
- ACLS required within 6 months of hire
