This opportunity offers a full-time position in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where you will calibrate, maintain, and repair scientific laboratory instrumentation. The role is part of a technical services team serving critical client environments, following established protocols and ensuring equipment reliability and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Calibrate, maintain, and carry out repairs on various scientific instruments
- Remove and coordinate repairs for equipment needing basic fixes during maintenance
- Operate precision test equipment such as multimeters and galvanometers
- Document daily equipment inspections and service activities
- Communicate abnormal equipment conditions or out-of-tolerance readings
- Source replacement parts and estimate repair costs
- Work with external contractors for repairs
- Contribute to developing maintenance and calibration protocols
- Adhere to company procedures and work under supervision
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school with 1–2 years of relevant technical experience (or equivalent)
- Ability to meet physical demands including stairs/ladders and lifting over 50 lbs
- Basic math and communication skills; working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Appropriate technical certification or license as required by law
