About the Role
This dual-function warehouse position is responsible for operating a sit-down forklift to safely move pallets and materials throughout the facility, as well as manually sorting pallets by type and condition. The role is essential for maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting production flow, and ensuring pallet quality. Forklift certification is provided on-site, and no prior experience is required.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate a sit-down (electric) forklift to move pallets in and out of trailers and designated areas
- Perform daily safety inspections of the forklift
- Refuel or charge forklift tanks as needed
- Verify and complete load documentation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
- Support other general warehouse functions as needed
- Adapt to new schedules, team structures, or tasks as required
Qualifications
- No prior forklift experience required; on-site training and certification provided
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to lift 70–100 lbs throughout the day
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Must pass PLA forklift certification
Physical Requirements
- Stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift for extended periods
- Regularly lift and move heavy materials (e.g., lumber, pallets)
- Comfortable working in varying temperatures, noise, and dust
- Good manual dexterity and tactile sensitivity
- Ability to hear and understand instructions in a noisy environment
- Excellent vision for detailed work and safe machinery operation
Work Environment
- Primarily in a warehouse setting with exposure to dust, fluctuating temperatures, and moderate to high noise levels
- Steel-toed boots and PPE required
