About the job
Take on a proactive role managing environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs to ensure organizational compliance and promote a safety-first culture. As an EHS Specialist, you’ll monitor regulations, conduct risk assessments, oversee training, and influence operational processes to ensure worker well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and hazardous waste management standards
- Conduct workplace inspections and risk assessments
- Develop and deliver safety and emergency preparedness training
- Lead incident and near-miss investigations
- Implement safety policies and protocols
- Travel to multiple operational sites as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; relevant degree preferred
- 3-5 years’ EHS experience
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- OSHA 30-Hour certification preferred
- Capacity for physical site inspections
