About the job

Athens Health and Rehabilitation is looking for a Dietary Aide to support the nutritional care of long-term and rehabilitative residents. As part of the dietary team, you'll help prepare and serve meals, maintain kitchen sanitation, and ensure residents' dietary needs are met in a caring environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with meal and snack preparation, service, and delivery
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas and dining facilities
  • Wash and store dishes and utensils appropriately
  • Check meal trays for accuracy per menu and resident needs
  • Ensure proper storage of foods
  • Follow sanitation, safety, and infection-control protocols
  • Work scheduled evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
Qualifications
  • Positive attitude, especially when helping elderly or disabled adults
  • Ability to read, write, and follow directions in English
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Reliable and able to perform physical and essential job functions
